I’m working with several friends and colleagues to raise $15,000 to aid Atlanta-area flood victims who are still in desperate need.

Not So Silent Night Atlanta Holiday Bash benefitting Atlanta flood victims who aren’t in the news anymore, but still in desperate need. Proceeds from the event go directly to Cobb Disaster Recovery and The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta. The event aims to raise $10K in cash donations for the two agencies and $5k in donated goods and services for the victims.

Join us for heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks, mingling and networking in the posh, sophisticated ambiance at the St. Regis Hotel!

Why: As many as 1,500 families in Cobb County are still trying to piece their lives together after losing their homes and belongings in the Atlanta flood. Many are still living with friends, family or in hotels. Many are in need of aid and face the daunting task of furnishing a place to live. Let’s get them the help they need before the holidays. These are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, old and young. They may be our friends, neighbors, family, co-workers. We need to have their lives back to normal so they can continue contributing to our society and our economy.

Beneficiaries: Cobb Disaster Recovery, The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, Atlanta Flood Victims

Organizers: Four Atlanta marketing professionals dedicated to helping aid these families in need:

7. Ask your organization or your clients to consider making a cash donation to either agency of any amount between $100 and $1000. Organizations or individuals making donations over $500 will receive 2 Feature story publish dates on Atlanta Daybook to use as you please. I was able to learn how to get the photos on my iPhone transferred onto my computer and make a video from the Red Shoe Project Tweetup I co-hosted with Michael Long, a.k.a., The Red Recruiter, on October 8, 2009, at FuegoMundo.
