Tonight it was Todd‘s turn to pose the question and he asked, “What is the single most important thing a business can do to make a blog work for them?”

We have differing opinions on this subject and we’ve asked that you put it to a vote.

Please feel free to cast your vote for who had the best answer to this question hint: Stephanie in the comments section! You can also cast your vote via Twitter using the #HSSS hashtag.

See you next week for Volume 4!

P.S. Please tell Todd that the next time he complains about the fact that my camera is pink I will commit live on camera that for the rest of my entire life every single camera I own will be pink. And so, rather; he should focus his energy on telling me how lovely my pink camera looks with my dress.

Obviously.

A sincere thanks, my dear friend, for the stellar editing job at the beginning of your video!

First – I must say that Stephanie’s camera really helps MAKE HSSS. No question.
And, I vote for Stephanie. But, I’m biased, since we are partnering for YOU NEED A JOB – a series of interventions to help job seekers – or anyone – who needs help optimizing their Twitter use, LinkedIn profile and interviewing skills! Check out http://youneedajob.org/

THAT was a shameless plug. I hope it does not violate your comments policy! :-)

So…Miriam. You’re suggesting a third way to blog, which is to self-promote on other blogs?? ;-)

Miriam Salpeter, Keppie Careers August 14, 2009 at 1:45 am

Todd – That’s not so much blogging as it is self-promoting! And, remember, it all depends on that comments policy! :-)

Todd Schnick August 14, 2009 at 10:24 am

Comment policy…as in…if you call her Steph, you get blocked. Permanently.

Stephanie A. Lloyd August 14, 2009 at 12:24 pm

You’re a quick study! ;-)

Is it just me or does it seem like Stephanie’s mindset is more for consulting- & service-oriented businesses and Todd’s is more likely to apply to product-oriented businesses?

As for the winner — I vote for the tree that attacked Todd. The interrupting car comes in a close second ;)

Todd Schnick August 15, 2009 at 9:49 am

Jaime – attacking trees are no laughing matter…

…and you’re right about service verses product oriented businesses. Blogs are important in supporting both, and require different strategic thinking.
