Tonight’s Tweetup, hosted by @toddschnick, was held at Fuego Mundo, A Taste of South America — an incredible new restaurant in Atlanta! I cannot wait to go back.

Pre-Tweetup (this video is fuzzy for a few seconds and then focuses.) In case you are wondering why I look so spastic I was petting my dog.

Me+ Stephanie Frost + The Gnome from Boston (he traveled a long way to be there tonight.)

Ivan of chirbit -- you must check it out! Particularly if you have a blog or a website or even for Twitter! I am signing up immediately.

Stephanie Frost + Rachel Rose + Me discuss next week’s first ever Atlanta Chicks Tweetup #ATLChix.

Stone Payton + Todd Schnick (the organizer) + TarynP

Steve Burns got some excellent footage this evening as well! He did a compilation (I haven’t learned how to do that yet) and his last Tweetup video landed on CNN so watch out for Steve!

Tonight I had a fabulous time and from what I could see everyone else there did too. New friendships formed tonight and new business opportunities arose and if you have never been to a Tweetup I have just one thing to say to you.

GO.

Go to the very next Tweetup you are invited to and take loads of cards with you and be certain that your @Twitter name is on them!

You just never know who you might meet and what the future may hold as a result. :-)

The first ever #ATLChix Tweetup was a success! And loads of fun. Obviously.

Great job on the video reporting! What kind of video camera are you using?

Stephanie A. Lloyd July 8, 2009 at 11:23 pm

Oh wow, thanks so much Steve!

LOL. This is embarrassing. It’s not even a video camera! It’s a point and shoot which I did not even know had video capabilities until March 1 of this year when we got about 6 inches of snow and I wanted to record my dog Jake running in it. I have no idea what made me think that it might have video but I checked and sure enough – it does!

It’s a Sony Cyber-shot. I love it. It comes in many colors. Mine is pink. Obviously. ;-)

Thanks Stephanie, you are definitely an inspiration to get into some video blogging. The videos really add to the report of the event in a great way.

Steve,

Thanks so much and look out!

After just three attempts (tonight being my third) I am now a huge proponent of video blogging and please feel free to consider me your newest Citizen Journalist!

As such please be prepared to be “interviewed” for my blog and maybe even for Examiner when we finally meet IRL!

You can count on it. ;-)

Stephanie, thanks for including my video in your blog. I enjoyed meeting you and the others. Look forward to other events, etc.

So great to finally meet you! And many thanks for the rockin’ write-up from last night! I am sure TarynP is mortified (not) that she walked into our video…

Can’t wait to go to war with ya!
